Superintendent and principals highlight facility completions, PD and community volunteer day

Administrators reviewed completed facility projects — bleachers, security vestibule, north and south doors, and HVAC work — and highlighted summer professional development and community volunteer efforts that improved campus appearance.

Elementary leadership recapped a community engagement day that included volunteers who put down mulch, painted sidewalks and painted basketball goals; the elementary principal thanked volunteers by name and said the campus "looks awesome" after the work. Administrators also previewed student incentives and academic interventions tied to the upcoming year, noted pre‑K starts tomorrow and that the first day of school is Aug. 12, and confirmed a board meeting scheduled for Sept. 14 at 6:00 p.m.

The board recognized staff training that included crisis management and de‑escalation training and noted the district will continue to implement new RTI and intervention programs and to monitor enrollment and program funding as the year begins.
