A committee member thanked the county manager for stopping in at the start of the meeting to ask whether the commission needed anything: "the county manager did stop in the meeting at the beginning of the meeting to ask if there's anything that this commission needed from him or the county," a committee member said, and the group agreed to note that in the minutes.
Staff reported that despite public advertisement, no members of the public attended to make comments. "Nobody has shown up tonight to make any comment," the staff member said, and the committee treated the absence as an indication there were no outstanding public ethics matters requiring attention. Staff will record attendance and meeting materials in the annual report to the county council and the state ethics office.
A committee member also noted that a complaint earlier in the year appeared to have been resolved by self-report and settlement, and that there were no ongoing ethics investigations to report for the last 12 months.
