Woodbury County supervisors elect Mark Nelson chair; Dave Dietrich named vice chair

The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors reorganized its leadership on a unanimous vote, electing Supervisor Mark Nelson as chair and Supervisor Dave Dietrich as vice chair.

A motion to elect Mark Nelson as chair passed 5-0 after nominations and a roll-call vote. The presiding officer announced, "That pass is 5-0, and Supervisor Nelson is the new chairman of the board of supervisors." The board later nominated and elected Dietrich as vice chair by the same 5-0 tally.

The new leadership immediately moved to approve the meeting agenda. The motion to adopt the agenda, seconded for the record by a board member, carried by voice and roll-call with all members voting in favor. The reorganization and agenda approval were procedural steps the board completed before proceeding to regular business.
