At the Aug. 6 meeting the applicant for 46 Depot Street presented a revised site plan that moves a building previously close to a neighbor’s property and increases the distance from that pinch point from about 16 feet to roughly 75 feet. The applicant said the relocation, an expanded privacy fence (about 65 additional feet) and dense evergreen 'Green Giant' screening will improve privacy and sightlines for adjacent homes.
The project team described other design changes: the dumpster was relocated to be screened near the former Building G footprint; parking remains roughly 2.06 spaces per unit; a small clubhouse and an interior sidewalk network were added to improve resident access; and certified soil testing returned better-than-expected results, so major regrading was unnecessary. The applicant said they will submit written responses to peer-review comments (waiver matrix, drainage) and will bring the project engineer to the next meeting. The board voted to continue the hearing to Sept. 3, 2026 at 7 p.m. for the applicant to provide those materials and clarifications.
