Parker County Clerk Lila outlined the FY27 Preservation, Records Archive and Risk plan and asked the court to continue allowing the county clerk to collect the $10 record archive fee. Lila described rollover projects from FY26, a new RFP to find an AI‑driven document search/storage platform, recurring Fiddler contract costs (about $120,000) and a personnel spending line she estimated at $184,890 subject to change. She said the office currently has built a balance through the archive fee and estimated about $4,000,000 available for preservation and restoration projects.
Lila asked the court to authorize the county judge to execute contracts associated with the plan after review by the purchasing agent and county attorney. Commissioners approved the plan and authorized execution with the requested review steps. Lila said future efforts include returning historical books held by the state archives and working with the historic commission to bring records back for preservation and scanning.
