Public Works reports trail signs ordered, DWR volunteer day set for June 27

Public Works Maintenance Supervisor Payden Vine told the council that trail signs have been ordered and will be installed within weeks and that crews completed raising manholes on 600 South, leaving curb-and-gutter tie-in pending with the highway project. Vine confirmed staff identified an 8-inch sewer stub near the north access road to the gravel pit and said no further action was directed at this time.

Vine said staff is coordinating with the Division of Wildlife Resources on a dedicated-hunter volunteer project at the Nature Park fishpond scheduled for June 27 and clarified that court-ordered community-service hours are not eligible for this specific DWR project. He also confirmed previously purchased no-parking signs for 300 North are in storage ready for installation once an ordinance is passed, that a part-time hire has been completed, and that staff will place a flag order and replace the worn flag at the old cemetery.
