Senior services director flags budget uncertainty, plans Community Fair outreach

Carrie Concatelli, Director of Senior and Social Services, told the Senior Citizens Commission that staff discussed the town budget and that "news yet of what’s going to happen with all the state cuts." She said she has been receiving many phone calls about programs offered by the Senior Center and plans to have a booth at the Community Fair at Bolton Center School on March 17 to publicize services.

Concerns about program continuity are unresolved; Concatelli said outreach is a priority as the department fields inquiries. Commissioners did not vote on budget reallocations at the meeting but recorded the need to monitor state funding decisions going forward.
