Goshen board re-engages BOCES for new superintendent search; posting open through Aug. 14

Board President Loftus opened the meeting’s president’s report with an update on the superintendent search, saying the district re-engaged the regional BOCES team for a new search after the first effort "did not conclude how we expected." The posting is live on three platforms and remains open through Aug. 14, and administrators expect more applicants to apply before the deadline.

Loftus said the district is not paying a separate consultant and that the board will receive monthly updates; the facilities committee and other teams will brief the board at future meetings as the search progresses. No formal action was taken during the public portion of the meeting on the search beyond the update; the board later moved to executive session to discuss the superintendent search among other personnel matters.
