Carroll County authorizes $7,810 transformer replacement at Annex

Facilities Director Bob Murray told the Carroll County commissioners that the generator replacement for the County Annex is complete and is serving the Annex building but is not yet servicing the wastewater treatment plant because the transformer installed more than 20 years ago was configured incorrectly and must be replaced. The board approved a Gemini Electric quote for $7,810 to replace the transformer (motion Parker/Chandler, 3-0).

The written quote from Gemini Electric, included in the meeting materials, itemizes the replacement as a 75 KVA transformer (208V delta to 480V wye) for $5,710, miscellaneous materials for $200 and labor for $1,900, totaling $7,810. Commissioners recorded approval to proceed; the existing transformer will remain onsite unless the county requests removal and disposal.
