Commissioners reallocate funds to buy cruiser and to replace Mountain View Community furniture

On July 31 the Carroll County commissioners approved several budget transfers to cover capital needs. The board authorized moving $54,450 from two MVC capital accounts into MVC Capital–Furniture to replace resident room furniture, and approved transferring $37,500 from the Capital–Skid Steer account to the Capital–Sheriff Cruisers account to facilitate a cruiser purchase (motions recorded Parker/Chandler, 3-0).

Meeting materials indicate the cruiser purchase involves acquiring a K‑9 team‑equipped 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe from the Town of Effingham with an indicated purchase amount of $45,000; the transfer recorded was $37,500 to reallocate available capital toward that purchase. The MVC furniture transfer consolidated irrigation and satellite capital funds to pay for resident room furniture replacement.
