Town asks planning and building boards to review comprehensive plan for possible updates

At the start of the Aug. 6 meeting the chair noted that board members received a copy of the town’s comprehensive plan and asked both the planning and building departments for feedback. A town board representative said officials are "entertaining the idea of addressing any frustrations or challenges" that boards or departments may have and are seeking expert input with an eye toward updating zoning where warranted. The town asked boards to take time to review the plan and prepare comments over the next one to two months.

The request frames a forthcoming opportunity for the planning board and other stakeholders to identify recurring administrative or regulatory challenges that might be addressed through revisions to the comprehensive plan or related zoning law changes. The town indicated it will collect feedback and return to the boards for further discussion.
