Superintendent Diane Kornege previews Lake County Schools year after second straight A rating

Diane Kornege, superintendent of Lake County Schools, opened a back-to-school address reminding families that the first day of school is tomorrow and outlining priorities for the coming year. "We begin this year with a great deal of pride and optimism," she said, noting the district's academic recognition.

Kornege highlighted several developments meant to support students and families: a new district website with a chatbot, the reopening of Beverly Shores Elementary after renovations, a full-time VPK Academy at Rimes Early Learning Center in Leesburg, and expanded career and technical education at Lincoln Park Educational Center through a partnership with Lake Technical College. She closed by thanking families and staff for their partnership and urging community support for the school year ahead.
