Flowood board adopts zoning amendment targeting vehicle body-repair conditions

Mayor Gary L. Rhoads opened a public hearing on Aug. 1 on an ordinance to amend provisions of the City of Flowood's comprehensive zoning regulations. Mike Prestage, the city's Building Official, explained the purpose of the amendment and presented photographs intended to show unsightly conditions at typical vehicle body repair shops.

No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing. Alderman Kirk McDaniel moved to approve the ordinance amendment; Alderman Don Flynt seconded the motion, which received unanimous approval from all Board members present.
