Flowood board holds public hearing on intent to issue up to $5 million in general obligation bonds

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Flowood opened a public hearing Aug. 7 on the city's intent to either issue general obligation bonds or issue a general obligation bond for sale to the Mississippi Development Bank in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $5,000,000. Mayor Pro Tem Don Flynt opened the hearing and solicited public comment.

"No one appeared to protest," the minutes state. Following the hearing, Alderman Kirk McDaniel moved to approve a resolution finding the notice was duly published and that no written protest or other objection had been filed; Alderman Deron Harmon seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously. The resolution declares the necessity for the sale and issuance of the bonds and authorizes related procedures as provided in the document attached to the minutes.
