Sun Valley council adopts 2015–16 annual appropriation ordinance

The Sun Valley City Council on Aug. 12 adopted Ordinance No. 476, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2015. Council Member Peter Hendricks moved to have the second reading read by title only; Council President Keith Saks seconded. The council voted 4–0 and Mayor Dewayne Briscoe declared the motion approved.

City Administrator Susan Robertson read Ordinance No. 476 by title only as part of the second-reading process. The ordinance sets the city appropriation for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2015; the transcript records the adoption and the vote but does not include line-item budget figures. The council present and recorded on the roll call were Mayor Dewayne Briscoe, Council President Keith Saks, Council Member Peter Hendricks, Council Member Michelle Griffith and Council Member Jane Conard.

The adoption completes the council's formal budget-approval step at the special meeting. No votes against or abstentions were recorded. The council moved on to other agenda items and adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
