Council reviews Area of City Impact material for Juniper Springs

Community Development Director Jae Hill presented the Area of City Impact topic on July 21, with specific reference to Juniper Springs. Council President Keith Saks and other members asked staff clarifying questions about the legal and practical implications of designating areas of city impact and how that designation would affect coordination with neighboring jurisdictions.

Staff described the scope of potential impact and outlined outreach and technical steps needed to refine any boundary or policy language. No final designation was made; the matter remained under discussion and would be refined before public hearing and Planning & Zoning review.
