Council questions administration and contingency spending as FY2016 expenditures are reviewed

During the budget work session on June 16, 2015, City Administrator Susan Robertson presented proposed General Government Expenditures, covering legislative expenses, administration and contingency allocations. Robertson addressed questions about external contracts and administrative line items. Mayor Dewayne Briscoe and Council President Keith Saks joined council members in asking about contract terms and contingency use.

Council Member Michelle Griffith and Council Member Jane Conard raised specific questions about staffing and line-item assumptions; City Treasurer Angela Walls provided financial responses where noted in the minutes. Robertson indicated staff would return with additional detail at the next budget workshop to support council decisions on administration and contingency spending.
