Street Superintendent presents Street Department budget; council schedules follow-up

Street Superintendent Bill Whitesell presented the Street Department budget during the Sun Valley special meeting on June 16, 2015. Whitesell outlined department priorities and operational needs for FY2016 and answered council questions about maintenance and scheduling.

City Administrator Susan Robertson and Mayor Dewayne Briscoe added comments on coordination with other general government priorities. Robertson also reviewed topics to be covered at the July 23, 2015 budget work session. The council voted to adjourn at 2:59 p.m. following a motion from Council Member Peter Hendricks, seconded by Council Member Michelle Griffith, with AYES recorded for Keith Saks, Jane Conard, Michelle Griffith and Peter Hendricks.
