Park staff told the meeting they are collecting multiple bids for heating and air work at the office and the Schuler bathroom and are weighing mini-split options against a traditional furnace installation. One staff member said early estimates are higher than prior years and that they expect another bid from Burkhart to compare pricing before deciding.
Staff also reported an electrical service issue at the Bakover site (between Lot 61 and 62) discovered during the annual inspection and said they plan to replace the box and upgrade lugs after a heat-related melt was observed during the fair. Other short-term repairs include replacing failed restroom light ballasts and ordering replacement fixtures, and planned insulation work to add several inches to rafters in the office and shop to improve heating performance.
