County staff to open all reservations Jan. 12, 2027; 2027 season set for April 23–Nov. 27

Staff told the meeting they plan to open all reservations for the tractor show and general camping on Jan. 12, 2027 to simplify booking and avoid repeated manual unlocking of sites reserved for the tractor show. The staff member explained that a number of sites are locked specifically for tractor-show week and that manual changes previously caused management headaches.

The committee confirmed proposed 2027 season dates of April 23 through Nov. 27 and discussed whether the campground could shift toward year-round service. Members said year-round openings would depend on completing heating upgrades and ensuring restroom heating and insulation work succeeds; staff suggested a phased trial of one side of the facility once heating is dependable.
