At its Aug. 7 session the Municipal Unit Strategic Task Force recorded unanimous roll-call votes on two resolutions.
1) Electronic meetings policy: Motion to adopt a resolution establishing an electronic meetings policy carried unanimously; adoption enabled a virtual member to participate for the remainder of the meeting. The county attorney explained the policy "allows for individuals to participate in electronic meetings under specific circumstances," and the chair announced the motion carried.
2) Ratification of local income tax distribution agreement: The task force voted unanimously to approve and ratify the agreement previously signed on 05/07/2026 so the unified plan may be submitted to the Department of Local Government Finance and the state legislature for consideration. The county attorney noted the ratification "ratifies all prior actions taken by the board, including that approval that occurred at the May 7 meeting." The task force did not set a state-level effective date; further action by DLGF and the legislature is required.
Roll-call tally (as recorded in the meeting): Steven Clark — yes; Richard Egiri — yes; Shaylee (as recorded) — yes; Katie Fromer — yes; Christie/Christy Windorf — yes; Jeff Knight — yes; Cathy/Kathy Antonelli — yes; Mackenzie Taylor — yes; Virginia Kazier — yes. Both measures passed unanimously.
