CFISD to renovate Cipher Annex for virtual pathways; district reports 521 students enrolled

During consent‑agenda discussion trustees asked about the virtual‑pathways renovation and enrollment. Administration said the project will be paid from previously authorized bond funds and will convert space in the Cipher Annex to house staff who deliver virtual instruction. "This is from bond funds. We're going to renovate Cipher NX, and that's where we're going to house virtual pathways," the presenter said.

A program staff member reported 521 students are enrolled in the district's fully virtual and supplemental courses, including 12 students who migrated into CFISD to participate. Trustees also asked about physical space and whether the renovation would primarily support staff offices, meeting rooms and occasional student conferences; administration confirmed the site will be for staff with some meeting space for conferences.
