Belpre reports on water, paving, park and facility projects; full roof seal recommended for Station 2

City officials provided multiple operational updates July 13: drawings for Well 1 have been updated so a new vault and check valve can be installed and the well returned to service; citywide paving is scheduled to start July 14 with one to two weeks of work; and Civitan Park fencing around fields one and two will begin July 20 followed by work on the multiuse fields.

Safety-Service Director Mr. Rhodes reported two roofing options for Station 2 — local repairs for $4,092 with no warranty or a full roof seal for $17,021 with a 15-year warranty — and said, "The mayor and I agree that we should do the entire roof for $17,021.00 which includes the 15-year warranty." The transcript also records open water-system projects including a valve assessment funded by a $20,000 grant, lift-station assessments at Rockland and Clement beginning soon, and discussion about water-line extensions and a hydrovac purchase under consideration by the Utilities Committee.
