Updated flood plain maps put more structures in flood plain; County may need local law under FEMA guidance

Planning Committee members were briefed on recently updated flood plain maps for Wyoming County that the minutes state would place some existing structures into mapped floodplain areas. The minutes indicate that villages may be obligated to adopt a local law addressing National Flood Insurance Program requirements and that FEMA has supplied a template for that purpose.
