The Prairie Grove Planning & Zoning Commission took several formal actions on Aug. 6:
• Approval of minutes from July 9, 2026 (motion by Rob; second by Colin).
• Motion approved to deny a rezoning request from R‑1 to R‑2 for 809 North Mark Street (motion announced as by Blaine; second by Cook). The denial preserves the lot’s R‑1 status; the applicant may appeal to city council.
• Motion approved to table the large‑scale Heritage Commercial project (Basin Associates / Green Prairie Investments) pending renderings and facade details; the applicant was asked to return with visual materials and the item will appear on the Aug. 17 city council agenda for input.
• Snyder Grove Phase 6 final plat (39 lots) approved by the commission and forwarded to city council; staff said a letter of credit for sidewalks must be in place before council final approval.
• Cleveland Street Apartments minor subdivision approved, with a variance reducing the between‑building setback between Lots 2 and 3 from 10 ft to 5 ft; drainage and building‑code issues will be handled during permitting.
These items and related materials will be available in the planning department record and on the city calendar for the Aug. 17 city council meeting where several items will be discussed further.
