Gov. Bob Ferguson and Sen. Patty Murray send video appeals to defend the millionaire’s tax and ramp up organizing

Governor Bob Ferguson delivered a video message emphasizing the importance of defending the millionaire’s tax and describing state investments that rely on it, including free school meals and expanded supports for working families.

"Defending that millionaire's tax will be key," Ferguson said in the recorded remarks, noting that some proceeds are dedicated to K–12 meals, the working families tax credit and business tax relief.

Senator Patty Murray’s video also urged organizing and turnout ahead of the midterms, urging delegates that "Every door we knock helps us win" and encouraging volunteers to keep up the momentum through November.
