A self‑described PE teacher and coach told the audience that decades of classroom and coaching experience inform her view that biological differences matter for athletic competition. She cited fitness‑score differences, equipment and rule variations (for example, a smaller basketball and lower volleyball net for women's play) and argued those distinctions allow female athletes to succeed at the highest levels.
The speaker said competitive sport enforces strict rules—including banned substances like testosterone—and stressed that identity or pronoun changes do not alter anatomical factors such as hand size or vertical leap. "You can change your name, your pronouns but you cannot change the size of your hand, the size of your feet, your ability, your vertical jump," she said, and asked attendees to vote yes on the initiative to keep female divisions intact while also calling for ways to expand participation opportunities for all.
