Executive director reports domain, email setup and office options; recommends staffing first

Executive Director Mark Winkelman updated the board on early operational steps: a domain and email addresses have been established, payroll is set up, bookkeeping help was requested, and potential office locations were toured.

"We have domain name, maricopastadiumdistrict.com... Maricopastadiumdistrict.gov. Took some doing, and we have email addresses," Winkelman said. He described four spaces that were toured and said the district likely needs about 2,000 square feet. "It's about 2,000," he said when asked about square footage. Winkelman recommended the district continue to use existing conference facilities until staffing levels make a dedicated office necessary.

Board members agreed staffing decisions should come before committing to a long-term lease so the district does not overcommit on space and cost.
