Board outlines lease drafting process, plans public posting and adjourns to executive session

Board members said a smaller group would work on initial lease drafting and the Title 34 compliance roadmap, and that the document would be shared with the full board once more finite language is ready.

Senator Epstein asked whether a timeline and a draft lease could be made available to the public and requested an opportunity for public comment when a draft is ready. Board members acknowledged the need for both speed and transparency, saying the subcommittee would prepare drafts for the full board and post them when appropriate. "I wonder if we can have a discussion of what that process would be... a timeline for a draft of the lease at some point to be made available to the public and then a call to the public to speak to us about their thoughts," the senator said.

At meeting end a motion to adjourn to executive session was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote; the public portion of the meeting concluded with the board adjourning to executive session.
