The Dennis Conservation Commission approved an amended order of conditions for a proposed revetment repair at 66 Jericho Road, North Bluff Cape LLC, after hearing from the applicant's representative, Perrios.
Perrios told commissioners the job has been difficult to schedule and that the revised plan changes access to come over the coastal bank and use a road through upland thicket to relieve pressure on the intertidal zone. "We're proposing to come in over the coastal bank, which have done several of these," Perrios said, explaining that a reassembly of armor stone will be required and that equipment will use the upland access to move off the beach each day.
Commissioners asked technical questions about how heavy equipment would be staged and whether stone would be set aside and reassembled; Perrios said the revetment is graded and the work involves plucking stones and reassembling the revetment in a narrow zone. After questions and clarifications, a motion to approve the amended order of conditions under the Wetlands Protection Act and the Town of Dennis Wetlands Bylaw carried by voice vote.
Staff will prepare the amended order language and any standard conditions concerning access, equipment staging and reassembly of the revetment.
