Prosecuting attorney tells council his contract will remain unchanged; caseload steady

Frederick Allington, the city’s prosecuting attorney, presented his proposed contract for handling municipal misdemeanors and said the terms are the same as in recent years. He told councilors his time dedicated to prosecuting city misdemeanors does not vary significantly year to year.

Allington said the majority of cases he handles are for DUI, domestic battery and driving-without-privileges. No vote on his contract occurred at the special meeting; councilors moved on to other external contract presentations and budget items.
