Groveport Madison board approves MOU with GMLEA

The Groveport Madison Board of Education approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with GMLEA at its Aug. 7 meeting after the superintendent recommended the board "approve the attached MOU with GMLEA."

The superintendent presented the MOU as an item for approval and a member moved and a second was recorded. Board members present voted in the affirmative and no substantive amendments were requested during discussion. The board treated the MOU as a consent/standard personnel-labor item and advanced it with procedural motion and voice affirmation.

Board members did not expand on the MOU's terms during the meeting and no dollar figures or implementation dates were presented on the record. The item will proceed according to the terms attached to the meeting file.
