Manager reports final downtown branding concepts, staffing updates and outreach metrics

The manager presented the monthly report, noting that final downtown branding concepts and a marketing map were recently presented to city council and that staff held follow‑up meetings with design consultants.

The manager also announced the hiring of a new economic development coordinator, Sierra, and summarized outreach activity: multiple developer meetings, business retention contacts and new social‑media followers. “We have the final downtown and a branding concepts, as well as a downtown and a marketing map that were presented to city council,” the manager said during the report.

Staff also previewed an upcoming legislative summit that will include state and local representatives, the county judge and TxDOT to discuss coordination and initiatives affecting the city.
