Capital Asset Committee confirms leadership, approves March minutes

Chair Eric Eldridge opened the Capital Asset Management Committee meeting Thursday and the panel approved minutes from March 18, 2026. The motion to approve the minutes was recorded as "Carries 4 0 1." "All those in favor? I," the chair called during the roll call vote.

Members then completed routine reorganization. Earl Mason nominated Eric Eldridge for chair and Konstantinos Kalaboukas seconded the nomination; Eldridge accepted. Eldridge nominated Mason as vice chair, a motion the committee approved with a recorded "Carries 5 0 0." The group also appointed Daniela Thanes as clerk by unanimous voice vote.

The procedural votes set the committee's leadership and cleared the way to focus on fiscal 2027 capital planning. Committee members said they expect work from administration before the next meeting on Aug. 19 to include background documents and prioritized lists of requests.
