Board postpones multiple downtown zoning variance decisions after members request more drawings

The village board postponed consideration of multiple zoning variance requests affecting downtown buildings after members said the packet lacked sufficient drawings and facts to make findings of fact.

Dominic, the village attorney, described the process and emphasized that each variation must be considered separately. "So what's gonna happen is the the items are considered separately... If you're going to deviate from [the zoning board's] recommendation, this board would have to make its own findings of fact," he said. Several board members said they wanted architectural-level drawings to understand the proposed changes, and by roll call the board voted to move g1 a–c and g2 a–b to the May meeting so the petitioner can submit additional materials.
