Trinity Drive safety and ADA upgrades under way; completion expected in January

Public-works staff told the board that Trinity Drive safety and ADA improvement work began a few weeks ago and that construction is expected to be complete in January of next year. Martinez said, "we're expecting, construction to be complete in January of next year," and noted traffic-control devices are already deployed along the project corridor.

Board members raised concerns about bike-lane design and the need for physical separation to make cycling comfortable. One member urged installing quick curbs for greater protection and said experience at nearby intersections suggested a physical separation would reduce near misses; staff said quick-curb options are being evaluated and some changes, including lane narrowing and delineators, are being piloted.
