Applicant postpones 2‑foot fence-height variance hearing for 249 South Larkspur Drive to Sept. 3

The Board of Adjustment accepted a request to postpone consideration of a variance for 249 South Larkspur Drive to the Sept. 3 meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Staff introduced an application by Michael Bolsinger, trustee of the MTB Family Trust, seeking a 2‑foot variance from the 6‑foot maximum fence height on a single‑family R‑1 property (Lot 51, Michael's 2nd addition to Castle Rock). The applicant asked to postpone the hearing; staff recorded the request and the board approved the postponement. Staff asked the applicant to state the postponement on the record and noted the new hearing date. "If you can just state into the record that you would like to postpone this meeting to the next — the next meeting is September 3 at 06:00," staff said on the record.

A board member observed that "the only reason he's postponing it is because I am here," and staff and the board confirmed the postponement will be heard at the Sept. 3 meeting. No vote on the variance itself was taken.
