Town staff: zoning code updates go to council Aug. 18; training for board expected in fall

Town planning and legal staff told the Board of Adjustment on Aug. 6 that proposed zoning code updates will be presented to town council on Aug. 18 and that the board will receive training on changes after council action.

Staff said the Sept. 3 meeting will include another case, legal training and a rehearing of a case. Once council has acted on the code updates, staff will schedule sessions to familiarize board members with the changes, likely in September or October. "Also, on the August 18, zoning and legal are taking before town council some code updates, some much needed bringing our code into the 20th century," staff said on the record.

Staff asked the board to anticipate additional training and future items on the Sept. 3 agenda; the board acknowledged the update and thanked staff.
