Sustainability team to revisit school composting and schedule Fall Repair Café

The team flagged composting in schools as an ongoing priority that stalled and requires renewed outreach to district staff. The chair said she will follow up with Dr. DeBrito to restart planning and reconvene interested partners and directors.

On the Repair Café, scheduling conflicts mean the October date likely will move to November or be held on a weekday at the senior center; members discussed recruiting additional volunteer 'fixers' and confirmed skills needed (sewing, jewelry repair) and noted that some volunteers have committed to helping. The chair said she will coordinate with volunteers and report back on a confirmed date.

Members emphasized the need to secure volunteers for both school composting logistics and Repair Café repair stations and agreed to use the team's event calendar and outreach channels to advertise and recruit.
