"I have looked at the 6 consent agenda items, and I make a motion that we approve all 6 consent agendas," a board member said. Several speakers offered praise for summer activities: staff described vending machine placements in elementary schools, a math mini‑conference for roughly 200 teachers at the West Piedmont High Education Center hosted by the Henry County Public Schools Math Steering Committee and Piedmont Consulting Group, and other professional development and planning days designed to prepare teachers for the new year.

Board members and staff also commended student services and early placement communications as positive steps ahead of the school year.
