Votes and actions at a glance: July minutes, special hearing minutes, easement recommendation, comp-plan referral, and elections

At the Aug. 6 meeting the planning commission recorded these formal actions by voice vote:

- Approval of July 2 meeting minutes (motion moved and seconded; approved by voice vote).
- Approval of July 9 work-session/special-hearing minutes (motion moved and seconded; approved by voice vote).
- Motion and vote to forward a favorable recommendation on 11 MALPF/MELF farmland-easement applications to the county commissioners (approved by voice vote).
- Motion and vote to present the draft comprehensive plan to the county commissioners as written (approved by voice vote); staff will forward public comments for commissioners' consideration.
- Election of officers: Jerry Barbieri reelected chair; Phyllis and Mary retained as vice chair and secretary. A proposed amendment to remove the consecutive-term limit was introduced and staff will redraft it for a future meeting.
