Resident urges stricter enforcement of construction work-hour ordinance near Trinity Estates

Whitney Hughes, who identified herself as a Timberline resident, used the informal-citizen-comment period to urge the council to enforce the city’s work-hour ordinance in the area near Trinity Estates Phase 3. "Allowing work to be done until 8PM or after in a residential area is already unreasonable and inconsiderate," she told the council, adding that she was speaking on behalf of families with school-age children who live close to construction activity.

Hughes said she understood construction pressures but argued that lenient enforcement would set a precedent. She noted that photos circulating on social media were projections and asked the council to consider children's safety and consistent enforcement. The council did not vote on enforcement changes that night; staff noted records and enforcement processes and said complaints must be submitted in writing for formal processing.
