Commission approves revised Walmart site plan to expand online-pickup area

Staff told the commission Walmart seeks approval for a building addition to accommodate an expanded online pickup area of "9,969 square foot" on the side of the building and will re-stripe the parking lot from "881 to 863 spaces." Staff noted the property is zoned within the plan development ordinance and that the change meets zoning requirements; staff recommended approval.

Commissioners had no substantive follow-up questions. A motion to approve the revised Walmart site plan was made and seconded; the chair declared the motion carries. The approval allows Walmart to proceed with design changes to its pickup area and to re-stripe the lot as described in the application.

Staff referenced the property’s plan-development zoning and noted the revision is treated as a major change requiring a revised site plan.
