Supervisors hold two closed sessions under Iowa Code 21.5(c); authorize landfill administrator to act

The Boone County Board of Supervisors entered its first closed session at 8:34 a.m. under Iowa Code 21.5(c) "to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent." John Roosa, the county's Landfill Administrator, and Katelynn Hensley, Human Resources Director, attended that closed session; the board returned to open session at 9:12 a.m. After returning to open session, the board voted to proceed and authorized the Landfill Administrator to take the actions discussed in closed session.
