Council approves 2017 Multi‑Use Path slurry seal project

The Sun Valley City Council unanimously approved the 2017 Multi‑Use Path Slurry Seal Project during its June 16 special meeting.

Street Superintendent Whitesell described the work and said 'it's been the same amount for the past three years,' explaining the slurry material is 'more like a paint' and that the contract language is therefore generic and offers limited defect remedies. Council President Keith Saks moved to approve the project; Council Member Jane Conard seconded the motion and Mayor Peter Hendricks declared it approved following a 4‑0 roll‑call vote.
