Blaine Williams, assistant county administrator, updated the board on the RFN for downtown county properties and said the deadline for receipt of proposals is September 16. "So the due the deadline for the receipt of the proposals is September 16," Williams said, adding that more than 50 entities had registered or downloaded materials and that staff and CBRE will shortlist proposals and ask shortlisted respondents for best-and-final offers.
Commissioners sought clarity on whether city-owned parcels were included in the county RFN; staff said city parcels were not part of the county's evaluation but the county provided a link to the city's addendum for developers. Staff described the evaluation as focused on county-owned assets and said the board would be the final decision-maker for county properties; shortlisting, due diligence and negotiation phases are expected through the end of the calendar year with an expected board action in spring following staff review.
