The Public Service Commission cleared a range of consent items at its Aug. 5 administrative meeting, approving renewable-energy facility certifications, tariff revisions and corporate filings.
Chair Barbee read items on the consent agenda including renewable-energy facility IDs for Blue Delta Energy (Units 1 and 2), a transfer-of-control filing for Spectrotel/MDLC and AirSpring, a notice of transfer for Sustainable Energy Services LLC, tariff revisions from Hagerstown Light Department and Potomac Edison updating Maryland environmental surcharge rates for fiscal year 2027, and a license grant for Energy Nation Solutions LLC to operate as a natural-gas supplier limited to broker services in specified territories. The chair directed standard post-certification and filing conditions—such as establishing REC accounts and notifying the commission of material changes—where appropriate. Several items included requests to waive the 30-day notice requirement under the Public Utilities Article §4-203(a) for tariff filings; the commission granted those waivers and approved the filings.
Votes on consent items were recorded as carrying with commissioners present voting aye; where explicit tallies were provided the chair noted 4–0 outcomes with one commissioner excused for several items.
