The Special Needs Advisory Board agreed to partner with UN CARD and Hope for Autism for a guardianship workshop on Nov. 5 and approved a $300 allocation for refreshments.
A board member described the event as a scheduled workshop featuring two attorneys, Town Attorney Lorenzo Coviera and Stephanie Cruz, and said the town’s role would be to sponsor refreshments and help promote the event. A motion to partner and allocate $300 from training funds for refreshments was made, seconded, and approved by roll call/voice vote.
Members discussed venue options and promotion; the board agreed to monitor registration and, if the event’s turnout warranted, consider moving it to a larger town venue to accommodate more participants. The board recorded the allocation and asked staff to follow up with partners on logistics and registration.
