Tom Winter, Emergency Management Director, described an American Tower proposal to amend the county lease by granting seven additional five‑year renewal options that could extend the potential lease term through Oct. 30, 2076. Winter reported American Tower would make a one‑time payment of $20,000, then beginning Oct. 31, 2041 would make monthly payments of $1,250 with a 3% annual escalation and would retain a right of first refusal if the county sold the property.
