Board authorizes superintendent to sign MOU with teachers association and approves retiree stipend motion

Following discussion in executive session, the board moved to authorize the superintendent to sign a memorandum of understanding with the teachers association and to take the retiree stipend action reviewed in closed session.

A board member (S4) said, "I would make a motion to authorize superintendent Watts to sign the memorandum of understanding with the teachers association." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Earlier the chair had noted the retiree stipend was discussed in executive session and the board moved to authorize the chair or superintendent to sign the related documentation.
